Link (Phillip Lewitski) and his brother flee away and embark on a journey to find their birth mother after their abusive father had lied for years about her whereabouts. Along the way, Link discovers his gay sexuality and reconnects with his indigenous heritage.
This feature-length movie is an expansion of the short film Wildfire (2019). The film was inspired by writer-director Bretten Hannam's own life, heritage, and gay sexual orientation. They were partially inspired to make the film based on their frustration with indigenous representation in mainstream film and television.
